Starting Date: Immediate
Duration: 3 months minimum
Location: Strasbourg (F)

The Assembly of European Regions (AER) is offering an internship of a minimum of 3 months with its Secretariat in Strasbourg.

The main task of the selected intern will be to help the AER Secretariat in pulling together the information and elements for a new online database for the AER member regions enabling them to look for partners for a project or to share experience. The selected candidate will analyse the information, elaborate a layout for the online database and write its description.
The selected candidate will also assist the AER Committees in their daily Secretariat tasks.

Key Tasks:
 - Analyse the information for a new database and elaborate, jointly with the members of the Secretariat, a layout for its online presentation
 - Write the description of the online layout
 - Liaise with the IT agency in creating and implementing the new database

Requirements:
 - An understanding of EU institutions and policy-making processes
 - An understanding of the role of the regions in Europe
 - Proven analytical skills
 - A creative talent for layout and a good eye for how best to communicate on a website
 - Speak at least two of the AER’s working languages (English, French and German)
 - Knowledge of other languages would be an advantage.
