Economic DevelopmentAER Innovation Award

AER innovation award

Each year AER  reconises Europe's most innovative Region. This initiative was first launched in 2006 in collaboration with the Autonomous Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia. The Prize aims at honouring European Regional Authorities' actions, which have stimulated, fostered and implemented innovation in their territory. It aims at promoting best practices as well as to demonstrate how regions can contribute to regional economic welfare.

3rd AER Innovation Award for Innovative regions, 2008

For the 3rd consecutive year, AER is on the lookout for best practice in the field of innovation. Deadline for applications will be 1 June 2008. The projects will be evaluated along specific criteria by an international jury and the winning regions will be awarded on 14 November 2008 at the AER General Assembly in Tampere Region (FI).
