The aim of the workshop will be to raise awareness and exchange on the Competitive Advantages of Satellite Information and Services. It is jointly organised by the AER and Eurisy.
Eurisy is a Non Governmental Organisation (NGO), created in 1989 with the aim of promoting the benefits of space for European society. It plays a strategic role in anchoring space to society, raising awareness among decision-makers, civil society and users, of the strategic importance of space for sustainable economic, environmental and social development policies.
This is a non-technical workshop aiming is to teach regional representatives about the added value satellite technology can bring to improving the quality of the business environment in Regions by investing in modern infrastructure. Best-practice presentations and case studies will be featured, through multi-disciplinary discussions of issues such as decision-making, financing mechanisms, cost, implementation difficulties in regards to benefits and return on investment.
