The AER has organised the first European Citizens' Forum in West-Sussex on 18th October 2007. The Forum focussed on young people from Boundstone Community College, located on the South coast of West Sussex.

The Assembly of European Regions with students of the Institute of the Political Sciences and Alsace Regional Council organised the European Citizens’ Forum in Strasbourg in 21st November 2007.
The main topic of the meeting was Europe and its neighbours. During the Forum students discussed with experts the case of European Neighbourhood Policy.

In 27th November 2007, over 180 people gathered in Mikolow, Slaskie (PL) to answer this question: "Youth and the Future of Europe: What does Europe mean to you?". Young people from Silesia discussed their perception of Europe and focused particularly on how they could benefit from the EU's youth programmes. The Assembly of European Regions (AER) and the Region of Slaskie invited students aged between 14 and 18 from regional high schools to express their feelings about Europe and to give them a better understanding of the European Union.

The last 2007 Citizens Forum took place place in 30th November in Iasi. The main subject of the meeting was " First Year of the Romanian Membership in the European Union. Opportunities for Romanian citizens". The Forum gathered 55 participants from various fields: governmental and non-governmental sectors, economic, social assistance, academic; culture, environment, police and agriculture...
