POLITICAL CAREER AND AFFILIATION:
Active in many associations, notably for the protection of Human Rights, she has for a long time been committed to the acknowledgement of the place of Women in the political arena and actively participated with Lionel Jospin, First Secretary of the Socialist Party, for the establishment of a reserved constituency in the legislators of 1997 for female candidatures, and then at his side in the legal setting on the legal access of women and men into electoral delegations and elective functions and its implementation within the Socialist Party.
Her presence at the Regional Council of Ile-de-France as Vice-President in charge of general administration and personnel with Jean-Paul Huchon since March 1998 allows her to push for Val-de-Marne, in the framework of State/Region Agreement, developing the majority of the documents along with the General Council of her department.
Member of the Socialist International Women and Vice-President of the Socialist International Women Mediterranean North and South since 2003.
Member of the European Socialist Party of the group on 'Equal Opportunities'.
Member of the bureau of the Assembly of European Regions and President of the working group on Equal Opportunities.
